EnChor Chamber Choir - Canada
EnChor Chamber Choir, founded in 2005, is comprised of auditioned choral singers, committed to sharing their love of music with their Calgary and area audiences. Led by artistic director, Elizabeth Paynter, the choir programs a wide variety of the finest choral repertoire, from Renaissance motets to orchestral masterworks, and the latest contemporary choral music. One of EnChor’s mandates is to collaborate with other Calgary artists, most recently including Spiritus Chamber Choir, High Performance Rodeo Theatre, The Karl Schwonick Jazz Ensemble, and the choirs and string ensembles at Mount Royal University.
Elizabeth Paynter is a public school music specialist and choral director in Calgary, Alberta. Currently, she directs EnChor Chamber Choir, One Accord Community Choir, worship music at Scarboro United Church, and two children’s choirs at the Mount Royal University Conservatory. Elizabeth is known for her ability to share her passion for music with all, with much learning and laughter along the way.
