Artists Jury Choirs Past Participants

Bendigo Youth Choir

This choir from Australia was founded in 1984 by Valerie Broad with the philosophy that it is a right and privilege of every child to experience the fulfillment music offers to those who participate. The Bendigo Youth Choir is highly regarded for its performing expertise with particular reference to beauty of tone, blend of voices and innovative approach to new work. The choir is an exciting exponent of harmonic overtone singing. Their repertoire always includes work by outstanding Australian composers. They have performed in Melbourne, throughout Australia and overseas. Hundreds of children have passed through the choir since its inception 20 years ago and all have been given a loving family atmosphere, good discipline and high quality vocal training. A number of former members have established extremely successful singing careers, both in Australia and internationally.
