Komorni Moški Zbor Ptuj

This men’s choir from Slovenia has been established for 50 years. Its repertoire is mostly folk songs by Slovenian composers but the choir does perform compositions by world renowned composers. Komorni Moški Zbor Ptuj has sung in many European Countries with considerable success. They placed well in the International Competition “C.A. Seghizzi” in Italy,Slovenian National Contest “Našapesem” and the International Choir competition Olomouc in Czech Republic.

Franc Lačen

Franc Lačen has been the director of Komorni Moški Zbor Ptuj for more than twenty years. He graduated in music from the Pedagogic Academy in Maribor. He has been on the jury at Choir Festivals in Slovenia and is a regular member of commissions for folk music in Slovenia and Italy. Mr. Lačen has worked with youth choirs and is a journalist, covering arts and culture.
