The Los Altos United Methodist Church Chancel Choir

The Los Altos United Methodist Church is the largest Methodist church in the Northern California/Nevada Conference. LAUMC’S Chancel Choir from Los Altos, California, has performed major works of the great composers. They have commissioned works by well-known contemporary composers and have a multi-cultural repertoire as well as standard church repertoire in weekly services. This versatile choir has toured much of Europe, the United States and Canada and has recorded several highly successful CD’s. Most recently the choir participated in the International Church Music Festival in Bern, Switzerland and was featured on the BBC in England.

Shulamit Hoffmann

Shulamit Hoffman, is adjunct faculty at Notre Dame de Namur University and the College of San Mateo. She holds a Master of Arts, a Master of Music and two Licentiate Diplomas. She has won several prestigious scholarships and awards, including Outstanding Graduate in the School of Music and Dance at San Jose State University, where she studied with D. Charlene Archibeque, and, most recently, a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
