Phoenix Girls Chorus

This American choir, the Phoenix Girls Chorus – Cantabile, is currently celebrating its 22nd season. The program includes five choirs with an enrollment of 185 girls from age 7 to 18. The choirs perform a broad repertoire ranging from classical to show tunes. Performances include Music Fest featuring all five choirs and guest performers, Family Holiday Concert, Teacher Appreciation Concert, winter and spring Classics Concerts and a Spring Pops Concert. Cantabile is one of the advanced performing choirs and has travelled both nationally and internationally. Tour venues have include Germany, England, Scotland, Czech Republic, Austria, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii and throughout the United States.

 

Sue Kenly Marshall

Sue Kenly Marshall has served as Artistic Director for the Phoenix Girls Chorus since 1983. Ms. Marshall has a vocal performance degree from Arizona State University and is a professional soloist and an accomplished pianist and organist. She has served several churches in Arizona in these musical capacities. She is the past American Choral Directors Association Children’s Choir Repertoire and Standards Chair for Arizona, a member of MENC, SAI and Chorus America. Ms. Marshall is also a private music teacher.
