Willamette Master Chorus - USA
Based in Salem, Oregon the Willamette Master Chorus is composed of 70 veteran professional and dedicated amateur musicians. Founded in 1984 through a joint effort of Lutheran Fine Arts Center and Willamette University, this auditioned chorus brings area audiences a challenging choral repertoire that reflects a broad representation of musical traditions and innovations. The Willamette Master Chorus strives to promote choral music through collaboration, education and performance. National and international tours include San Francisco, France, a three nation trip in Europe, choir-in residence for the International Cathedral Festival in Salisbury, England and the 2016 International Kathaumixw.
Dr. Paul Klemme is presently in his 24th year as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Willamette Master Chorus. His full-time position is the Director of Music Ministries at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Salem, Oregon and he is also a member of the adjunct faculty at Willamette University where he teaches organ.
