How to apply
Choirs
Choirs wishing to participate in the XX 2025 International Choral Kathaumixw must submit the following:
· the Application Form
· a short biography of the choir (maximum 100 words)
· a short biography of the conductor (maximum 50 words)
· a photograph of the choir (300 dpi)
· a photograph of the conductor (300 dpi)
· a recent recording of the choir (CD, MP3, DAT, Cassette, Video or DVD formats accepted)
Choir application forms and supporting material must reach the office of the International Choral Kathaumixw by November 15, 2024.
Vocal Solo Competition
Members of participating choirs wishing to enter the vocal solo competition must submit the Vocal Solo Competition Entry Form on or before April 1, 2025.
Note no more that 5 singers per choir may enter a vocal solo competition. Be sure to view the Competitions page for categories and requirements.
There is no extra fee for singers attending as a member of a particating choir.
Individual Singers
Individual singers wishing to participate in the common song singing and/or vocal solo competitions must submit the Come Solo registration form.
The participation fee is $225 CAD and includes 8 concerts (3 concerts as a singer). Visit our Individuals page for more details.

Obligations
-
to participate in the planned schedule for the whole festival period.
-
to waive all rights associated with radio or television broadcasting and audio and video recordings.

to waive all rights to any form of financial compensation.
Acceptance
The festival committee will notify choirs whether or not they are accepted as participants by December 15, 2024. Artistic and other factors play a role in the decisions of the committee.
There will be a maximum number of choirs per category and a limited number of entries per country.
Confirmation
Choirs must provide confirmation in writing and their Participation Fee ($225 CAD per participant) by January 15, 2025.
We understand that this number is your best guess as to how many participants you are bringing to the festival. Confirmed choirs wishing to add additional participants after January 15th must notify the festival organizers of the change and may make additional payments up until May 1st. If a choirs participant number declines, the overpaid participant fees may be transferred to cover hotel and/or meal costs.
Payments are to be sent in Canadian Dollars (CAD) via bank transfer, credit card by phone, or cheque in the mail.
"Participants" include singers, conductors, accompanists, spouses/supporters and chaperones. The registration fee covers tickets to concerts, competitions, social events, limited festival transportation, a swimming pool pass, festival souvenir program, and other festival events.
