Prairie Voices - Canada
Prairie Voices is an award-winning choir of 18-25 year-old singers and is the flagship ensemble of Prairie Voices Inc. Founded in 2000 by Dr. Elroy Friesen, Prairie Voices' current artistic team consists of artistic director Geung Kroeker-Lee, assistant conductor Katy Harmer, and accompanist Ben Sellick. Prairie Voices performs in their own concert series, tours, and is a regular guest of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. With artistry and excellence at the core of its mandate, Prairie Voices strives to connect to audiences and the wider community through unique and dynamic performances that showcase contemporary choral repertoire.
Geung Kroeker-Lee is the Artistic Director of Prairie Voices. Geung specializes in working with young singers and is best known for his ensemble's dynamic and engaging delivery of choral music. He also serves as the associate conductor of Canzona, a professional baroque choral ensemble in Winnipeg.
